CANDIDATE RESOURCES

If you're on the hunt for your next role, here are some resources and templates to help you stand out in the industry

COVER LETTER

A cover letter is all about making a great first impression and giving your job application the best chance of making progress.

Think of your cover letter as a pitch – a way to introduce yourself professionally and show the value you could bring to the role you’re applying for. Your resume is there to document your skills, experience and achievements, but your cover letter sums these things up in a way that matches the job and offers a sense of who you are.

We’ve come up with a template to make it much simpler for you.

CV

You’ll need a CV for almost any job application. It’s considered essential information to give to an employer so they can weigh up whether you’re suitable for a role, and if they want to invite you to a job interview.

Not sure what your CV should include? We've outlined it in more depth and included a custom template for you.

THE STAR METHOD

The STAR Method is a technique used to answer behavioural questions and makes interviewing much less painful with this up your sleeve. Think "tell me about a time when..." - these questions are designed to force you to tell a story and give specific details from your past to demonstrate your experience. Why? Because past behaviour is the best predictor of future behaviour. To find out more about the STAR Method and how to use it, download the guide.
