The Interview

To help get the creative juices flowing, we've compiled and broken down four of the best interview questions. These can be used for almost any job, and will help you to gain a better understanding of the candidate you are interviewing.

Reference Checks

Reference checks are an important part of the recruitment process, make sure you do them! Its a means of verifying the candidates skills and previous experience, this is the opportunity to uncover any 'red flags'. Ask the previous employer specific but open-ended probing questions. Do a bit of digging with your questions "If the opportunity arose, would you hire them again in the future?"

Recruitment Marketing

This is the opportunity to showcase your brand and stand out from the others. Market your role well and you will see the quality candidates come through.

Once you've offered your ideal candidate the position, the real work starts. Onboarding is the most important period in an employment lifecycle which is why you should place strong emphasis on the first 90 days. Not only does onboarding ensure workforce compliance from the get-go, but it provides your new employees with all the information they need to do their jobs.

Psychometric Testing

Behavioural traits and personality of a candidate can be difficult to assess during an interview, psychometric testing can give a more objective overview of a candidate’s character, strengths, weaknesses and working style. This testing can help gauge the future performance of a candidate and therefor a successful hiring decision.
