Job hunting (and advertising) with a recruitment company can be a new and different experience. Here are some of our FAQs and tips, but if you still have questions about the way we work, please feel free to get in touch!

What sort of jobs do you recruit for?


At Lynx, we specialise in construction recruitment (including project management, quantity surveying, site administration and interiors roles) as well as trade and labour jobs (such as builders, precasters, steelfixers and carpenters).



Can I send you my CV?


Absolutely! Either fill in our quick form here, or send your CV straight through to info@lynxrecruitment.co.nz – or if you see a role you’re interested in, feel free to contact one of our recruiters directly.



Do I have to pay the recruiter?

No, our clients pay us for finding premium talent they’re unable to find themselves because it is easier, candidates are in short supply or they are just too busy, hence they engage companies like us.



Why should I use a recruiter?


As a candidate, working with a recruiter enables you to have more access to a variety of jobs and companies (that might not otherwise be posted), as well as being able to be placed in a role that suits you best. For clients, you can read our full answer here, but in short, it means having access to a pool of screened candidates and saves you valuable time.


What is the process for new candidates?


Send us your CV (either via our website or email) and any additional information, such as the location and job types you’re looking for. One of our recruiters will then be in touch to discuss your career and job preferences more comprehensively. If we have a role come through we think you’d be great for, we’ll get in touch and send through your CV to the client – if they like what they see, we can arrange an interview and take it from there!



What is the process for new clients?

We’ll have a confidential chat about your business and the role you’re wanting to fill. We offer a range of bespoke solutions to fit your company and find you the perfect fit.



How many potential employers should I meet with?

If you’re a candidate whose skills are in demand there is a high likelihood you will be able to interview with lots of different companies. We recommend that you first decide what you want out of a job/company/career and work out what’s most important to you - then you can look for potential employers who share those values. How many recruiters should I go to?

We recommend only talking to one recruiter so your CV is only represented by one company. This will take time out of the equation and allow the recruiter to do a quality job and work in your best interests. If your CV is represented in the market by multiple recruiters clients will be turned off and are unlikely to interview you or take your application seriously.
